Making Smooth with the Ladies
Purchased a bag of apples today and asked the Noodle to hand over the money and accept the produce back. Which he did.
'Say thank you,' I prompted.
'Thanks darlin,' he said.
'Pardon?' said the lady.
'See ya darlin.'
I got him out of there before he asked for her number.

How old is your Noodle (oh er, so to speak), two or seventy?
He reminds me of Sapph at a similar age. We were doing the interminable drive back from Melbourne, and had stopped at Nhill for a pastie and an iced coffee and were sitting at an outdoor table. Sapph leaned towards Love Chunks, patted his knee and said, "You're not a bad old stick Dad."
Bless her, how cute is that?
I was telling Knickers about the 'Darlin' incident and mentioned we should be careful or he'll be walking around saying 'fabulous.'
Of course he was listening and walked around saying fabulous for the next ten minutes.
